NEXTとは？
NEXTとは？
日本では教会の平均人数が約３５名と
言われています。
その中で若い世代のクリスチャンはさらに
少ないのが現状です。
教会の中だけで若者が自分の居場所を見つけ、
自発的にイエス様に従い続けることは
決して簡単ではありません。
一方で、大人達にとっても
変化の激しいこの時代に若者を理解し、
つながりを持つことは難しく、
時には自分の子供に対してさえ
そう感じるでしょう。
しかし、神様は
親たちに御言葉を次の世代へ伝える使命を
与え（申命記6章1－9）、
また教会にも次世代を弟子として育てる働きに
加わるように語っておられます（詩編78章4）。
現代では、思春期の始まりは10歳頃と
言われています。
子供達はこの時期、自分と親を区別し始め、
親から学んできた事が本当に正しいのかを
確かめるために確認するために家庭の外へと
目を向け始めます。
ある研究では、10代の子供が大人になっても
イエス様との関係を持ち続けるためには
イエス様を愛し、その子の人生に関わって
くれる大人が少なくとも5人必要だと
言われています。
クリスチャンのユースは親から学んだ御言葉が
真実であると実感する必要があります。
また、クリスチャンではないユースは、
これまで信じてきたものを超える素晴らしい
希望があることを聞く必要があります。
NEXTはイエス様からの良い知らせを伝え
ユースを支えるためのコミュニティで
ありたいと願っています。
この働きは簡単ではありません。
しかし私たちは共に支え合いながら
この使命を全うしたいと考えています。
あなたもこの次世代に寄り添う働きに

Christian young people in Japan are few and far between.
With an average church size of 35, it’s hard for young people to find community,
to feel included, and get excited about following Jesus.
At the same time, in today’s rapidly changing world, it’s hard for adults to understand and relate to teenagers and sometimes even to their own kids.
However, God has called parents to pass the gospel onto the next generation (Deut. 6:1-9) and
has called the church to join them in the ministry of discipleship (Ps.78:4).
This is a difficult task, but we want to help!
Nowadays, the onset of puberty is said to begin around the age of 10.
As children enter adolescence, they begin to differentiate themselves from their parents and look outside of the nuclear family to test the things they learned from their parents.
Research tells us that most children who grow up to follow God in adulthood had a number of Christian adults in their lives who were pursuing a relationship with them and telling them about Jesus.
Christian kids need to know that the gospel they learned from their parents is true.
Non-Christian kids need to know that there is more to life than what they grew up believing.
In order to accomplish this, we need an army of adults who are willing to pursue them with the good news of Jesus.
